Entrepreneur Booth

The ICT and TLE booth was just very simple this year, but I really do appreciate it because I know that they put some effort and stuff here just to serve us some entertainment. I just want to share my experience visiting ICT and TLE booths. It was such an amazing experience to remember with my classmates and friends. You will learn here how to socialize as well. There are so many activities, products, and especially food that they can offer us. Me and my classmates were just rooming around the booths, and we saw different foods that are everywhere, so me and my friend decided to try the food like the "mais conyelo," which truly satisfied us. And our adviser just noticed my old ID, and I'm not aware that they also offer laminations. She also said that it will help to prolong the sentimental value or the memories that I had with my old ID (wow, nice sales talk, ma'am,  love it!! ).

Me and my friend Alieya just noticed that there were too many people in one corner. As concerned persons, of course, we got in there and saw that there was a film viewing. I am a person who loves to watch films. We pay 5 pesos to enter the venue of the film. We were so excited, and while watching the movie, we felt so "kilig" and also impressed knowing that the 7th grade students were the ones behind the editing and the actresses and actors of the film. After watching, the film has similarities with the movie that I watched, "Bridge to Terabithia." I love the nostalgic feeling that the film gave me. I also like the concept and the music that they use, which set the mood of the film even more.

 

Overall, my experience in the ICT and TLE booth was so fun and amazing. There were so many different activities and foods to enjoy. Especially the film viewing, because we used to make those kinds of films when we were in the same grade as them and until now. I had so much joy in the booth, even with that simple thing, but it gave me so much that I didn't expect. I hope students should visit the booth to experience such things. And yeah. An experience that, I know, is not that big of a deal but that makes us all happy. At first, I was confused because it looked so empty and it was not obvious that there was a booth, but if you entered, I told you. There was a saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover.". Yes, it was a great day to spend.

The Real Meaning of Love

 

What makes Valentine's Day extra special to you? Let me share with you how I spent my Valentine's Day at our school, of course, because I have school. As expected, we have different colors of shirts with different meanings. We decorate our classroom based on the occasion to make the day look like Valentine's Day. We also prepared gifts for our teachers to show our appreciation and love for them. We were so excited for the arrival of our adviser because we were able to surprise her, but sadly, she won't be able to join our celebration because she's sick that day. But nothing is going to stop us. We make a video greeting her a "Happy Valentines Day" just to show how special and how lucky we are to have her.Day after the Valentines, when our teacher was able to go to school, we were able to surprise her. Her priceless reaction was all, and we handed her the gift that was specially prepared for her. Then she read anonymous messages from us.

That is not the end of our celebration for Valentine's Day. We also prepared different foods for lunch just to celebrate as a class, and we are so happy and full. After lunch, we are also able to surprise our subject teachers by making a "Harana" for them, because knowing that with that simple gesture, we know that we are able to make them feel loved and appreciated and hand them a simple gift but full of love. I think it was not easy and a little shy for me to share this, but yes,  my special someone visited me in our classroom with his friends, and it totally made me embarrassed because I was not expecting that. After class, I had a moment with my family. My mother prepared a simple dinner for us. You know that every day can be Valentine's Day. We don't need very extravagant gifts, celebrations, or what important it is that you are with who you love, and that's totally enough.

We may have different perspectives and preferences on how to celebrate Valentine's, but it's just the same. Not only flowers and gifts can show if a person appreciates or loves you, but the thing is that he or she remembers you that day. There are so many ways to show love to those who are important to you, and there are many kinds of love for your family, friends, special someone, and all the people around you. I'm happy to share with you how I spend the day, and yes, that's how simple it is. For me, being loved is the most beautiful thing you can experience in this lifetime. I'm so blessed to have those people who love me unconditionally and put in an effort just to make me happy. To end this blog, I just want to leave a reminder: "Always choose to be happy and inlove, that is the only favor you do to yourself."

"People will go from where they see crowds "

 The pandemic started four years ago, and it took us so many years to celebrate festivals again. Many chances have been taken away from us to witness how talented and rich the Ilocano culture is. And now that the pandemic is already gone, thanks to God, For the first time, we're able to go out freely without any worries. Yes, there are still worries when we go out, but they are different from what we feel amidst the pandemic. Celebrating the Ilocos Sur Festival 2024 is such a wonderful occasion for the Ilocanos. It is a way of showing the beauty and the culture of Ilocanos, from its people, very unique and delicious delicacies and food, and of course, different places that tell a story of the past that will intrigue people. When we heard about the word festivals, the majority only thought about one thing: a grand celebration with colorful and very creative costumes and props from local dancers that they had prepared for us. But do you ever wonder sometimes what their purpose is for doing that? From their colorful costumes, it shows about their localities what culture or tradition they have, and from the aura and energy of the people, it shows what they're longing for.

  Moreover, festivals serve as a way of making the economy of Ilocos grow even more. By attracting visitors regardless of whether they're from near or far, The people will love to go and visit here; there is a moto that I built in my mind: "People will go from where they see crowds," and yes, the festival is truly an attraction. The purpose of the festival is to preserve our historical and cultural wealth. Also, it helps us to promote our different products andplaces and we can have opportunities to show our talents because I'm sure that a festival is not complete without any contest. We cannot only help ourselves from these; we can especially help our community and its people. And as a person who loves to watch such festivals,I have a good time attending and watching festivals here in Ilocos. It was such an amazing and yet tiring experience because 3 hours is not enough to watch and to be able to take a glimpse of other events in the festival celebration. But it was all worth it because it only happens once a year, and yeah, it's ok.

  Overall, the Ilocos Sur festival of 2024 was very successful. The festival is full of experience, opportunities, and many more. Many events happened in the festival that I know people loved even though they're from far and near and usually visit Vigan, but still they come back because of how beautiful and extraordinary the feeling of attending Ilocos festivals is. By showing their talents by attending festival contest, they can simply help the economy of Ilocos. This year's festival was great. There are so many happenings that I'm sure everyone enjoys, even if they're tired from work and school, or if it's a sunny day, they're eager to watch or attend the festival. Yes, the Ilocos festival celebration this year was full of excitement. And I'm one of the people who truly enjoyed the festival. I hope that same as this year, next year, and the following year will successfully celebrate this kind of occasion to maintain and preserve the unending province of Ilocos Sur.
